Instructions for standard test blocks for magnetic particle
inspection
1. Overview: This test block is an updated product carefully
designed and manufactured according to the technical parameters of
BS4069 and JB/T6066 "Standard test block for Magnetic particle
Inspection" and JB/T6063 "Magnetic particle Technology for magnetic
particle Inspection". It is used to test the comprehensive
sensitivity of fluorescent or non-fluorescent magnetic powder used
in flaw detection to ensure the implementation of the magnetization
specification of parts. It is a necessary tool for testing the
magnetic powder or magnetic suspension of magnetic powder testing
instrument. This test block conforms to the appendix of document
95-114 of Ministry of Railway vehicles. Used for magnetic particle
inspection of other parts of vehicle.
1, Type B test block is suitable for dc electromagnetic powder flaw
detection, dry magnetic powder, fluorescent or non-fluorescent
magnetic suspension sensitivity display. 2. Type E test block is
suitable for the sensitivity display of dry magnetic powder,
fluorescent or non-fluorescent magnetic suspension when used for AC
flaw detection.
Three, use operation: 1, dc test, B type test block into a diameter
of 29±1mm, length of 400±2mm copper rod, the test ring is placed in
the middle of the copper rod, so that the fifth hole on the test
ring is placed at 12 o 'clock position, clamping on the flaw
detection machine, through 2500A (effective value) main wave
rectifier, circumferential magnetization of the test ring, And
apply fluorescent or non-fluorescent magnetic suspension
(proportionally according to technological requirements) to check
the magnetic marks on the outer surface of the test ring. A,
fluorescent magnetic powder display, ultraviolet radiation
illuminance should not be less than 800-1000uW /cm2. For
non-fluorescent magnetic powder display, the white light intensity
at the inspection site should not be less than 1000XL. B.
Acceptance criteria: No matter fluorescent or non-fluorescent
magnetic suspension, at least 5 holes of magnetic trace display can
be seen. 2. During the ac flaw detection, the e-type test ring is
pierced into a copper rod with a diameter of 20±1mm and a length of
150±2mm, clamping it on the flaw detection device, and 750A
(effective value) current is applied, and the fluorescent or
non-fluorescent magnetic disparity liquid is applied evenly (the
ratio is according to the process requirements) to check the
magnetic marks on the outer surface of the test ring. A.
Illuminance of fluorescent magnetic powder or non-fluorescent
magnetic powder B. Magnetic traces of at least 2 holes can be seen
in both fluorescent and non-fluorescent magnetic suspension
